PureLink Adds Two New Modular Extender Pairs to its HDTools Line - Fiber Transmitter and Receiver Kits Include PureLink's Unique Auto-EDID Management

PureLink, a leading provider of digital connectivity solutions to commercial audio/video and IT markets worldwide, today announced the availability of two new fiber optic module extender sets, which it is adding to its HDTools line of professional A/V equipment offerings. The company is now shipping its new OLC III and HOF1 extenders. Both of these new extenders come in compact, detachable transmitter/receiver module pairs ensuring easy integration and fast, secure communication between input and output devices.

The OLC III Tx/Rx kit extends DVI content up to 300 meters using multi-mode fiber optic cabling to deliver high speed, HD video signals over a single fiber strand. With video resolution up to 1920x1200@60Hz, the OLC III can transmit EDID data and HDCP over fiber in real time and can be used with DVI devices as well as HDMI standard devices such as Blu-ray players, gaming consoles and other streaming devices. The HOF1 fiber optic transmitter and receiver modules offer Ultra HD 4K HDMI extension over fiber optic cable for up to 1,000 meters. With full 3D compatibility up to 1080p and HDCP v2.2 compliance, the HOF1 kit also offers IR and RS232 audio transmission control, all over a single fiber strand as well.

Both extenders offer PureLink's proprietary Auto-EDID programming feature, an EDID/HDCP management system that provides EDID capture and storage information and automatically assesses the format and resolution of each connected device. PureLink's Auto-EDID feature ensures that consistent handshakes are made between sources, and allows for proper and reliable output of content to all displays. Additionally, the utilization of fiber cables offers electrical noise free and EMI free connectivity that is ideal for the long distance extension of HD signals with embedded audio. The LC fiber optic cable is robust enough to be pulled through long conduit paths without damage, to terminate into the separate transmitter and receiver modules at each end, which simplifies installation and ensures optimal communication between devices.

“PureLink’s HD-Tools line includes integrated matrix routers, modular and rack-mountable extender pairs, format converters, HDMI emulators/testers, and distribution amplifiers,” said Kevin Kang, PureLink's Technical Sales Director. “These new extension systems add even further value to the brand and can be used either as a point-to-point solution or as part of a connectivity bundle that ensures optimal performance and the highest quality A/V transmission.” added Kang.
