PureLink, a leading provider of Ultra HD video connectivity solutions for the professional A/V industry worldwide, has introduced a new version of its MPX100 high definition Media Player, part of their PureStream line of digital signage and IP video management solutions. The MPX100 II is a Full HD (1080p) media player with built-in Wi-Fi featuring the company’s MPX Management Software suite for dynamic content design and management. The MPX100 II can manage and distribute digital signage to multiple displays using advanced decoding capabilities, with support for a wide range of media formats.
The new and improved "Mark II" version of the MPX100 offers a 1.6 GHz Quad-core processor, additional USB 2.0 ports and a key-lock on the front panel SD card location, for a securable content storage solution. It can be accessed remotely for media upload, or to schedule management and performance monitoring, and it provides HDMI and VGA outputs, with integrated audio output for additional sound reinforcement and dynamic image display. Also, included with the MPX-100 II is the MPX Management Software Suite, a rich server application that provides a comprehensive tool to manage and create custom playback campaigns. When used together this potent hardware/software combination offers a complete digital signage solution for applications such as retail, restaurants, hotel lobbies, airport information, public transportation, and more.
Also in the PureStream line is the MPX50 HD Media Player. This simple and effective plug and play device provides an additional cost effective option for customizable high definition displays and digital signage presentations. The MPX50 plays media files from USB or SD card storage, allowing users to load images, videos, and audio content onto a USB or SD memory device drive and connect it directly to the box. It supports resolutions up to 1080p with HDMI and VGA output and is ideal for use as an audio source for waiting rooms, on-hold music, and more.
“These MPX Media Players are easy to set up and operate and provide greater control and flexibility for dynamic digital signage applications," stated Keith Frey, PureLink's Sr. Product Manager. "We have produced a better product in the MPX100 II for the same price, and we still give you the MPX Management Software as part of the deal," he added. "Although the MPX-100 II is offered with an unprecedented 3-year warranty, the key difference in this system is the software, the MPX management suite offers control of large numbers of players based in any location and allows the user to centralize content creation, schedule management, and deployment from one location," concluded Frey.
