“We rejected the notion of good, better, best early on," says Christopher Bundy, director of marketing at Atlona.   He says the company's goal is to allow people to get "the ‘best’ quality, but pay the ‘good’ price."

The new HDMI 1.4 cables from Atlona reflect that.  They've been designed to surpass the requirements of the specification.  Atlona's new cables handle all the different 3-D formats, and can be run over long distances thanks to their flat design.

"In a round cable, you have a bunch of conductors smashed around a drain (ground), but the shielding between conductors typically not enough to prevent distortion," explains head of product development Michael Khain, "especially at long distance."

Atlona's new flat HDMI cables are RoHS compliant, and are UL certified for in-wall use.  They're available in lengths from 3 feet up to 50 feet and start at $39.99. var _JOOMLACOMMENT_MSG_DELETE = "Are you sure you want to delete this comment?"; var _JOOMLACOMMENT_MSG_DELETEALL = "Are you sure you want to delete all comments?"; var _JOOMLACOMMENT_WRITECOMMENT = "Write comment"; var _JOOMLACOMMENT_SENDFORM = "Send"; var _JOOMLACOMMENT_EDITCOMMENT = "Edit comment"; var _JOOMLACOMMENT_EDIT = "Edit"; var _JOOMLACOMMENT_FORMVALIDATE = "Please insert at least a comment."; var _JOOMLACOMMENT_FORMVALIDATE_CAPTCHA = "Please input the anti-spam code that you can read in the image."; var _JOOMLACOMMENT_FORMVALIDATE_CAPTCHA_FAILED = "Anti-spam code is not correct.
