Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) Adds DM® 8X8, 16X16, and 32X32 switchers to Unified Capabilities (UC) Approved Products List (APL)
8/18/2016 Rockleigh, NJ, August 18, 2016 – Crestron announced today that its DigitalMedia™ 8X8, 16X16, and 32X32 matrix switchers received approval by the Joint Interoperability Test Command (JITC) of the U.S. Department of Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) and have been added to the Unified Capabilities (UC) Approved Products List (APL). Based on results of stringent Information Assurance (IA) assessments of the systems, which were approved by the Chief of Homeland Security and Information Portfolio, the DM-MD8X8, DM-MD16X16, and DM-MD32X32 join the certified end-to-end DigitalMedia 4K switching and control solution offerings now listed on the APL. DM® Technology is[BM1] the standard for enterprise-class video distribution systems, and the foundation of a Crestron Certified Design, which is engineered and validated to work together, so customers are assured the most reliable, scalable, and fastest switching systems.
Crestron DM matrix switchers met the critical requirements of the Unified Capabilities Requirements (UCR). The JITC certification earns DM switchers, along with DM switcher input and output cards, DICAP security clearance. Additionally, Crestron 3-Series® Control Systems, built into Crestron DMPS3 Series presentation systems, and Crestron CP3, CP3N, AV3, and PRO3 control systems, are compatible with the JWICS security protocol and listed on the APL. This allows Crestron technology to be deployed in federal government network applications that require the highest level of security.
“Every branch of the military relies on our solutions to maintain the battle rhythm and control and manage the highest levels of their secure AV networks,” said Jeremy Button, Director, Federal Sales at Crestron. “DM matrix switchers feature redundant power supplies for mission-critical applications, and a modular architecture, allowing for easy and flexible system configuration with the ability to make changes to the system as needs change.”
