Power wherever you need it 
Often, transmitters and receivers are installed in locations where there’s no access to an AC outlet. While some systems include components that can generate power, such as the 3-Series ® 4K DigitalMedia Presentation System 150 ( DMPS3-4K-150-C), some simpler applications do not. These issues complicate installations for integrators and require them to devise workarounds. And even the DMPS3-4K-150-C doesn’t provide enough power to drive the most power-hungry PoDM+ and PoDM++ endpoint devices, such as the 4K DigitalMedia Receiver & Room Controller w/Scaler ( DM-RMC-4K-SCALER-C) and the 15.6" HD Touch Screen ( TS-1542-C). The DigitalMedia Ultra Midspan PoDM++ Injector provides a simple, highly compact, and time saving solution for both of these applications.

It transmits that power long distance – up and downstream – over DM cable to endpoints where there isn’t a local power source.”
 
Latest addition to DM power supply product line
The new DM-PSU-ULTRA-MIDSPAN joins the Crestron family of PoDM power supplies, which also includes the  DM-PSU-8 and  DM-PSU-16. The DM-PSU-ULTRA-MIDSPAN is the first to transmit PoDM++, and offers a unique small footprint (1/2 rack wide x 1 RU high) for convenient installation virtually anywhere power is needed.
