Located in the heart of Washington, D.C. the 15-decade old Smithsonian Institution Building known as “Castle” houses administrative offices and an information center. In-house experts guide visitors on history and architecture of the Castle and other Smithsonian museums, but not without a little help from an 8-foot-long interactive touch table custom designed, manufactured and installed by CyberTouch. This Terra Multitouch table consists of four 46” diagonal industrial-grade LED backlit LCD monitors in portrait formation, and offers 100” diagonal active area, designed to operate horizontally with an internal dynamic cooling system. This custom Terra Touch Table utilizes advanced infrared touch technology, allowing for 32 touch points, and a monolithic piece of splash-proof safety glass. This custom Touch Table was also made to be placed inside of custom millwork and run on custom software; both supplied by third parties.
