Middleton, WI- Intelix LLC, U.S. manufacturer of audio/video equipment and software, recently announced the release of the S-V16AR, the first product in their new line of security extender solutions. The S-V16AR receives up to sixteen channels of video from remote CCTV cameras, automatically adjusts signal brightness and sharpness, and distributes the video to two destinations.
“The S-V16AR revolutionizes security video distribution,” explains Cameron Smith, Intelix National Sales and Marketing Manager. “Until now, integrators were locked into standard configurations: four channels, eight channels, sixteen channels. The S-V16AR allows you to purchase only the number of channels you really need. Plus, we even included automatic processing and multiple twisted pair connection options.”
Designed for flexibility, the S-V16AR features sixteen slots which house individual channel modules, allowing

integrators to purchase and integrate only the number of video channels necessary. Plus, the unit’s modular design allows the quick integration of additional channels should more cameras be introduced into the system.
The S-V16AR features built-in surge protection, exceptional ground loop isolation, gain and loss control, and diagnostic video detection. In addition, the unit also automatically processes the video—adjusting color brightness, contrast, and sharpness—and splits it to two BNC outputs, thereby allowing two monitoring devices to be connected simultaneously.
For added cabling versatility, the S-V16AR features both RJ45 and terminal strip connections for transmitting video over twisted pair cable. The unit supports cabling distances up to 4,000 feet.
Retail price for the S-V16AR chassis is $549.95. Retail price for each S-V16AR-MOD channel module is $99.95.
