For those working with computers and peripherals such as a keyboard/mouse and camera in the home, MuxLab offers two new IP-based KVM Extenders.
The KVM HDMI over IP PoE Extender Kit (model 500770) connects AV equipment to an Ethernet LAN via HDMI and USB. Equipment can be extended up to 100 meters from the LAN using industry standard CAT5/6 cable. Resolutions are supported up to 1080p@60Hz in a point-to-point or point-to-multipoint configuration. The receiver is equipped with a four-port USB hub to drive USB devices such as a keyboard, mouse, printer, drawing pad, storage device or camera. All sources on the LAN can be switched to any receiver, enabling a virtual matrix system granting immediate access to all IP-based equipment.
The KVM DVI over IP PoE Extender Kit (model 500771) also enables unprecedented computer access across a network. It connects computer equipment to an Ethernet network via DVI and USB supporting resolutions up to 1080p. All equipment can be extended up to 100 meters from the LAN using CAT5/6 cable. The receiver’s four-port USB hub supports keyboard, mouse, printer, drawing pad, storage device and camera. Each receiver can be switched to any computer on the network via hotkeys on the on-screen display menu, providing home office or studio applications the ability to manage numerous workstations. PoE is fully supported along with higher level security switching, where an administrator manages the switching based on an authorized operator’s request.
“The scalable nature of these KVM over IP solutions means you can easily customize the system to your specific needs,” explained MuxLab President Daniel Assaraf. “By optimizing the size of your computer system setup, users can simplify operations while focusing on the tasks at hand.”
